RANGERS confirmed the signing of 25-year-old midfielder Ryan Jack on a three-year deal.
The talented Scot becomes Pedro Caixinha’s second signing for the Light Blues following the arrival of Portuguese defender Bruno Alves yesterday.
Jack made 250 appearances, scoring 11 goals, for Aberdeen after coming through their youth system and making his first-team debut in a League Cup clash against Raith Rovers in September 2010.
A Scotland youth international from under-16 level through to the under-21s, he was a member of the Aberdeen team which won the League Cup in 2014 with a penalty shootout victory over Inverness Caley Thistle at Celtic Park.
At the start of the 2015/16 campaign, and at the age of just 23, he was then named as the club’s new captain following Russell Anderson’s retirement.
An influential player on and off the park, Jack made 38 appearances for Derek McInnes’ side last season, netting two goals. He moves to Ibrox on a free transfer following the end of his contract at Pittodrie.
Pedro Caixinha said: “I believe 25 is a great age for him to come here. He had three years as captain of Aberdeen and has that experience, he also understands what it means to represent Rangers.”
