HAYLEY Sinclair knows what is needed of Rangers as they gear up to face off against Glasgow City in the Scottish Building Society SWPL this Sunday and believes her side are ready for the task.
She said: “We have prepared as much as we can as we do every week. We need to start the game well and stat focused for that full 90 minutes.
“We know we have good players in the squad and we can be a threat going forward, so we’re all sure that we can cause Glasgow City problems.”
After picking up a win against Spartans last week, Sinclair feels that the performance was just a glimpse of Rangers’ potential as morale stays high.
She said: “It was an important three points for us against Spartans, and there’s always a positivity around the squad.
“We know what we are capable off and it shows when we perform at our best.”
Rangers faced Glasgow City two weeks ago in the SWPL Cup and while the result was not favourable but Sinclair believes there are lessons to be learned.
She said: “It’s important that we look at the last game against City and take on board what we need to improve on going into Sunday but we aren’t dwelling on it.
“It is another chance for us to step up and put in a better performance than we did in the semi-final.”
After battling back from an injury suffered in pre-season, Sinclair has found herself back in contention in recent matches, starting against Spartans last week, and she highlights the team’s desire for togetherness as a key motivator.
She said: “I’m back to full fitness regarding my injury. We know that City are a good team but I am confident.
“Going into Sunday, if we all win our individual battles and work for each other, we can get something our of the game.”
