RANGERS midfielder Jade Gallon says that despite her team’s loss against Hibernian this weekend they will take “confidence” going forward.
Gallon got her first ever goal for Rangers on Sunday during the match when she scored an equaliser in the second-half.
Gallon’s goal was the first goal to be conceded by Hibs this season as they remain unbeaten.
She said: “It was great to get a goal. I saw the ball, got the space and took the shot.
“We came out straight away second half, got that goal and put them under pressure”
Unfortunately the goal wasn’t enough to secure a point for the Light Blues as they fell short against the Easter Road club.
Gallon said: “Obviously more importantly I would have rather have had the result, a goal is just a bonus.
“It gave us a boost but unfortunately we didn’t manage to capitalise on that and get another goal”
Rangers are set to face Hibs again during the Scottish Cup Quarter Final on March 25th.
Gallon says that despite the result this weekend her team remain positive and stressed that they are more than ready to take the Edinburgh side on again.
She said: “We’ve got Hibs in the cup soon and I thoroughly believe we’ll take the game to them and hopefully get the result and get into the next round of the cup.
“We think we can compete with every team in the league and we want to push as far as we can”
Gallon believes that the Gers are continuing to get stronger and are now catching up with Hibs as Rangers currently sit fourth on the league table with Hibs in second.
She said: “Last year Rangers were close a couple of times and again we showed today that we are narrowing the gap.
“There’s no difference between the teams we play at the bottom to the teams we play at the top we don’t fear anybody”.
