DEFENDER Lisa Martinez says she is excited for the new season as she extended her loan at the club until June.

The French internationalist is looking forward to working with the new signings and believes the group is already motivated to reach their goals.

Speaking to RangersTV she said: “I am really happy because it is a big club, the girls are so nice and the club have a big infrastructure and it is important for me because now it is professional and it is so so good.

“It is good for me because the club have a big infrastructure the new players have big mentalitly and they want to win all the time and it is really important for the club.

“I am really excited to start the new season with the new girls, the girls are motivated and we want win all of the time and it is going to be a good season I am sure.

After picking up an ankle injury which kept her sidelined towards the end of last season, Martinez says she is working even harder to be fit for the start of the new campaign.

She added: “My ankle is good at the moment, I work hard all the time because it is really important for my ankle and in training I run all the time because it is really important to be healthy.

“There is a lot of motivation in the group and the girls are positive all the time and it is good for the growing of the group.

“Now we have big players in the team and we can hopefully go into the Champions League and the Scottish cup and it is really important for me the Scottish cup and to qualify for the Champions League.”
