RANGERS under-17s will face city rivals Celtic this weekend as the Old Firm sides go head to head in the hunt for the League Cup.

Having already seen off Glasgow City in an earlier round the Light Blues will be looking to make it a Glasgow double by defeating Celtic at Toryglen on Sunday.

The Gers girls have already tasted derby success this season with a 3-1 league win over their rivals and go in to the weekend in confident mood.

Impressive performances this season have seen the Light Blues youngsters earn four wins from four outings in the league, leading to a host of call ups for the girls.

Captain Megan Karagiozis and Amanda Traynor have both recently been called in to the Scotland under-18 squad for summer international matches.

Nine youngsters also featured in the national squad at under-17 level, contributing to two challenge matches with Wales which were won 7-0 and 4-0.
