CHANTELLE BROWN came off the bench to turn the game around for Rangers as she returned from injury to secure the Gers late win against Forfar Farmington.
The Light Blues grabbed a late goal to take all three points and continued their unbeaten start to the SWPL season.
Brown set up Jade Gallon to bring Rangers level and was able to find the back of the net herself to secure the win late in the game.
After several months on the sidelines, Brown was delighted to be back involved.
“I’ve been out for a long time, so it’s just good to be back. Scoring the goal is always a bonus but the main thing is we got the three points in the end.”
After a frustrating first half that saw Rangers go a goal down, Brown believed the team knew how to respond in the second half.
She said: “In the first half, Forfar sat in as we thought they would. They were compact and made use of the width but in the second half, we were able to into those wide areas more and cross the ball.
“In the second half, we got the ball on the deck and we were able to find the passes a lot more and got in behind the full back like we knew we could do.”
Coming back from an international break, Rangers were able to keep the momentum of their winning start to the season and Brown knows that it’s key to continue to build on that as Rangers now look the next match against Hibernian.
She said: “We had a good break and we all trained hard, it was just good to get back out on the pitch again. We need to keep that going, train hard again this week and recover.
“We know that Hibs are a good team, we have respect for them but we know what we can do against them.”
