Dundee, like every side in the bottom seven, have battled inconsistency this season, and while they currently sit seventh in the Premiership table, they are only three points above the play-off spot and six above the automatic relegation place.

Having gone out of the Scottish Cup to the Championship’s bottom side St Mirren in January, Paul Hartley’s men have only the league to focus on, and last weekend they drew 1-1 with Kilmarnock at Dens.

Their next game after they take on the Light Blues sees them travel to Fir Park to take on Motherwell.

DUNDEE MANAGER PREVIEW:

Paul Hartley: “We’re the sideshow, aren’t we? All the attention is going to be on Rangers. We just have focus on trying to get a result against them.

“We will set a team up to try and get three points and think about how we can hurt them, how we can exploit their weaknesses.

“We don’t really think about what is going on behind the scenes at Rangers.

“A lot has gone on there over the last week.

DUNDEE PLAYER PREVIEW:

Cammy Kerr: “I think we should all relish this game. The players won’t need any motivation to be up for it.

“It is against Rangers and they are obviously still one of the biggest teams in the country. We need to go out there and give a performance to the fans.

“We don’t really know what’s going on through at Rangers. It’s probably a good time to play them because you never know what will happen with all that’s going on.

“Everyone knows it’s been up and down for ourselves this year and we’ve lacked consistency. But hopefully we can find that vital consistency between now and the end of the season.”

HARRY Forrester recreated his incredible form against Dundee as he rescued all three points for the Gers with a superb header in stoppage time.

The substitute scored his third in three games against the Dees after the Gers looked like they would have to settle for a draw.

Mark Warburton’s side had laid siege to the Dundee goal in the second period but couldn’t find the clinical edge until Forrester popped up in the 93rd minute.
