DANIEL CANDEIAS reckons Rangers’ players need to look themselves in the mirror following this afternoon’s 0-0 draw with St Johnstone at Ibrox Stadium.
The Portuguese winger, along with his teammates, was left frustrated with the stalemate, and knows they must give a big reaction when Kilmarnock visit Govan on Wednesday in the Scottish Cup.
Speaking to RangersTV, Candeias said: “Today is a bad day. We didn’t give a good performance and now everyone needs to look at themselves, the mistakes we made and the performance.
“The team needs a reaction on Wednesday by putting in a great performance. We have great players, a great team and today is a bad day for us.
“Of course we are disappointed as the team wanted the three points. It is important we didn’t lose but this is football – sometimes you need to look at yourself for the mistakes you had in the game and, as I said before, we need a reaction on Wednesday night and we need to win and put on a great performance.”
Candeias expects a similar type of opposition set-up from Killie come Wednesday, and he added: “They will come here and have 10 players behind, but here we are at home and we need the supporters and we need to put on a great performance.
“Today, the performance was inadmissible. Now we have to look forward, rest and hopefully put in a great performance.”
