MANAGER Mark Warburton was delighted to see a late goal that he feels was just reward for the effort his side put in through tricky conditions at Ibrox.

The Light Blues battled throughout the game and after their efforts before kick-off and during the 90 minutes their boss was pleased.

He told RangersTV: “The players trained really well for the game. The pitch was heavy and the ground staff have done a tremendous job to get it into the condition that it’s in given the weather that we’ve had.

“The wind was really strong and sometimes you don’t appreciate that from the sidelines or in the stands but really importantly it was another clean sheet.

“We saw players putting their bodies on the line to make blocks and cover well. It’s great for us and it sends a message out there.

“Falkirk are well organised, they have quality, they have dangerous players and can hit you. We knew before kick off that it would be a tough test and it was great to get the win and the clean sheet.

“We now have a gap between ourselves and Falkirk and we now look forward to Tuesday and facing Raith Rovers.”
