RANGERS Football Club can today confirm that Martyn Waghorn has joined Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee.

Waghorn joined the club in the summer of 2015 and played 79 times for the Light Blues, scoring 44 goals.

The English striker made his debut and scored his first goals for the Gers in July 2015 in a memorable 6-2 win over Hibs at Easter Road in the Challenge Cup.

Waghorn was named Championship Player of the Month in September 2015 and also finished both the 2015/16 and 2016/17 season as the club’s top scorer.

He was also named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year in 2015/16 and awarded Rangers Players’ Player of the Year for the same season.

Everyone at Rangers would like to thank Martyn for his contribution to the Club and wish him all the best in his future career.
