STEVEN GERRARD has named an unchanged side for this afternoon’s William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final tie at Aberdeen – the first time the Gaffer has chosen the same team for consecutive games since the Rapid Vienna and Hearts double header back in October.

From the side which defeated Dundee 4-0 at Ibrox in midweek in the Scottish Premiership, Gerrard has trusted the same XI to hopefully get the job done today and book a trip to Hampden for next month’s semi-final.

That means Allan McGregor retains his place in goals with James Tavernier, Joe Worrall, Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic in front of him.

Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield, who was a fitness doubt for this afternoon’s game, make up the midfield, with Daniel Candieas and Ryan Kent providing support to striker Alfredo Morelos.

There are places on the bench this afternoon for Wes Foderingham, Nikola Katic, Andy Halliday, Ross McCrorie, Lassana Coulibaly, Jermain Defoe and Kyle Lafferty.

Full coverage of the match is available outside the UK on RangersTV – join Tom Miller and Steven Smith for full live coverage.
