ALLY McCOIST will play two different teams as Rangers continue their pre-season schedule against Elgin City at Borough Briggs this evening.

Only Ross Perry is unavailable from the original 23-man party which travelled north to Brora at the end of last week for the Ibrox outfit’s northern tour.

And although goalkeeper Alan Smith met the team this afternoon in Inverness, he came from Glasgow as a precaution more than anything and won’t be involved.

Cammy Bell had jarred his ankle at training yesterday morning and sat out the remainder of that session before rejoining the group for more work after lunch.

He is fit enough to play the second 45 minutes, while Andy Mitchell and Sebastien Faure will play either side of the interval respectively after missing out three days ago.

McCoist combines Nicky Clark and Lee McCulloch to begin with in a 4-1-3-2 formation, with Mitchell, Lewis Macleod and Nicky Law comprising the midfield.

Kyle McAusland continues in a holding role in front of the defence after impressing three days ago at Dudgeon Park and he makes his first start for the club.

So too does keeper Scott Gallacher, with Darren Cole, Emilson Cribari, trialist Belil Mohsni and Stevie Smith in front of him.

After the restart Jon Daly and Andy Little will team up in attack in a 4-4-2 shape against last term’s Third Division rivals.

Kick-off is at 7.30pm and you can follow the match live on Twitter with updates coming on the official club account @rfc_official.
