PEDRO CAIXINHA makes two changes to his Rangers team for their trip to Partick Thistle and there is interesting news amongst the substitutes too.

David Bates and Joe Garner come into the manager’s starting XI with Bates replacing Clint Hill who starts from the bench while the injured Emerson Hyndman doesn’t make the trip.

Three academy players are named in the Gers substitutes – Andy Dallas, Jamie Barjonas and Serge Atakayi.

The shake-up in the starting line-up means Caixinha moves Kenny Miller into a more midfield role while Garner, Martyn Waghorn and Joe Dodoo make up his forward line. Jason Holt and Josh Windass keep their places in midfield.

Bates returns to the team after missing out on last weekend’s Old Firm defeat and he slots in alongside Danny Wilson. Wes Foderingham remains an ever present in the league and James Tavernier and Myles Beerman will provide an attacking threat from their full-back positions.

RANGERS: Foderingham, Tavernier, Bates, Wilson, Beerman; Holt, Windass, Miller; Waghorn, Dodoo, Garner.

Substitutes: Alnwick, Hill, Halliday, McKay, Dallas, Atakayi, Barjonas.
