MARK WARBURTON will start the Premiership season with the same side that took on Burnley last weekend – it includes three league debutants.

Clint Hill, Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar will all make their Scottish Premiership bows as the Gers start their campaign against Hamilton Academical.

Last season’s ever-present Wes Foderingham starts in goal and is joined at the back by James Tavernier, Clint Hill, Rob Kiernan and captain Lee Wallace. Danny Wilson is suspended, carrying over punishment from last season.

Rangers’ midfield three will feature two new signings in Barton and Kranjcar and they are joined by local boy Andy Halliday.

Barrie McKay, Martyn Waghorn and Kenny Miller will make up the front three with Waghorn looking to add to his four competitive goals already this season.

There are four summer signings on the bench for Warburton: Matt Gilks, Lee Hodson, Joe Dodoo and Jordan Rossiter. Jason Holt returns from an ankle injury which has kept him out since the Gers opened their season against Motherwell in the League Cup. Michael O’Halloran and Harry Forrester make up the rest of game one’s bench.

Josh Windass misses out on the season opener after suffering a reoccurrence of his hamstring injury on Thursday. Matt Crooks is still a few weeks away from fitness.

RANGERS: Foderingham, Tavernier, Hill, Kiernan, Wallace, Barton, Halliday, Kranjcar, McKay, Waghorn, Miller.
SUBS: Gilks, Hodson, Dodoo, O’Halloran, Forrester, Rossiter, Holt
