RANGERS are delighted to announce that the club’s state-of-the-art training base at Auchenhowie has been renamed The Hummel Training Centre.
In April it was confirmed that Hummel would be the Light Blues’ Technical Kit Supplier for the next three seasons, with the Danish sportswear company producing three bespoke kits each season as well as a range of training wear.
The exciting and ground-breaking new partnership with the chevron brand has now extended to the naming rights of the 38-acre training centre, which was opened in 2001 at a cost of £14 million.
Manager Steven Gerrard welcomed today’s announcement and Allan Vad Nielsen, CEO of Hummel International, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening further our relationship with Rangers Football Club as the newly named Hummel Training Centre welcomes Steven Gerrard, his staff and the first-team squad back for what we hope will be an immensely successful 2018/19 season.
“Our decision to take up the naming rights for this great facility was a very easy one; at Hummel we pride ourselves in engaging with players and staff and fans across all levels when working with partner clubs and to add our brand name to the busy day to day hub of this great club ensures we can do just that.”
Rangers’ managing director Stewart Robertson added: “We are pleased to make today’s announcement regarding the naming of our training facility.
“We are committed to working closely with all our partners and sponsors as we enter a new chapter for the club under Steven Gerrard.
“We are looking forward to growing the relationship between our Club, our fans and Hummel.”
