IN tonight’s official matchday programme there are exclusive interviews with Borna Barisic and former players Jon Daly and Nigel Spackman.

Croatian star Barisic scored a stunning, match-winning free-kick when Rangers and St Mirren last met in Paisley on 25 August 2019 and since then the 27-year-old full-back has been a standout performer in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven.

In the programme, Borna discusses his season so far, beating Celtic on December 29, playing for Croatia and much more.

Daly joined Rangers in the summer of 2013 and over two seasons made 72 appearances for the Light Blues, scoring 29 goals and winning the League One title.

Now 37, he reflects on his memorable couple of years at Ibrox and Jon is now working his way towards management after his departure from Hearts this month.

Former Liverpool and Rangers midfielder Spackman discusses the strides the Light Blues have made under Steven Gerrard and Gary McAllister and he is delighted an Anfield link is thriving again at Ibrox.

It was Graeme Souness who brought Nigel, now 59, to Glasgow and he enjoyed a hugely successful spell with the Gers, winning three league titles, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup.

He also scored a famous winning goal against Celtic at Parkhead on 2 January 1990 so is well-placed to discuss the impact Rangers’ derby victory in the city’s east end on December 29 will have had on the current squad.

Also in tonight’s 84-page issue – price just £3.50 – there is Steven Gerrard and James Tavernier’s programme notes, a tricky half-time quiz, a Hall of Fame feature (Davie Cooper), They Played At Ibrox (Karl-Heinz Rummenigge), a Junior Gers section and Niko Katic answers a range of question from fans in ‘On The Spot’ plus much, much more. Don’t miss it!
