RYAN Jack says Rangers players showed the reaction that was needed after picking up a win at Motherwell following three games without victory.
The Gers had drawn in the league, lost in the League Cup and then dropped Europa League points in the past seven days and Jack believes they showed a special spirit to deliver another league win.
Goals from Nikola Katic and then Alfredo Morelos, either side of the break were the difference, with the Light Blues having to play 20 minutes with ten men following Morelos’ dismissal for celebrating his 27th goal of the season.
Speaking to RangersTV Jack said: “I think we knew coming here it would be a tough match, Motherwell have been playing well.
“It was important that we showed a reaction from not winning the last three games and got the three points so we are delighted with the way we did it. To a man today we stood up and made sure we sent the fans home happy.
“That’s what you’re working in pre-season for, you’ll get tough weeks where it is three hard games or you’ll get month like December, which we are going to have with a lot of games.
“I think all over the park was good today, we are working hard and that is the third game in a row that team have played together.
“I thought today we did what we needed to do, we got the three points and we move onto next week.”
Rangers now face a tough trip to Easter Road on Friday evening but first Jack and his teammates will find out who they are to face in the Europa League Round of 32 in Monday lunchtime’s draw.
He continued: “We will be going there (Easter Road) to try and control the game, we want it to look the way we want it to be and how we work in training.
“We look forward to it and I am sure it will be a tough game but I am sure it will be a good atmosphere on a Friday night and we’ll be looking for another three points.
“We haven’t really had time to think about the draw because after Thursday was straight back in to recover and focus on this game today. I am sure the boys will be messaging tonight and watching the draw together tomorrow.”
