RANGERS captain James Tavernier spoke to RangersTV after his side were defeated in the League Cup semi-final by Aberdeen.
The right-back said: “We feel disappointed and hurt. To concede one corner in the second half and concede from it.
“It was almost a repeat of Thursday, where we got into the final third but we weren’t good enough to create that final chance we needed to score a goal. It is a disappointing day because we miss out on a final.
“We have seen it this season; I think sometimes it takes an early goal from us for the lads to maybe feel a bit freer in the final third.
“It is one we have to address on Wednesday and we have got to create as many chances as we can and put goals in the back of the net.
“I can only apologise to the fans on behalf of the boys for the supporters who have come in numbers.
“They filled out the stadium; we had the majority of the fans here and the fans who are watching at home.
“It is not good enough not being in the final and to concede a goal like that is not good enough for Rangers. We have got to produce something on Wednesday now.”
