AT today’s Ladbrokes Premiership match against Hibs – the first of the new season at Ibrox – fans can buy an 84-page official matchday programme at the stadium prior to kick-off, price just £3.50.

The midfielder has enjoyed a sensational start to his Rangers career following his move from Charlton Athletic and inside the programme he discusses the ease in which he has settled into Steven Gerrard’s squad, the joy he gets from playing in front of the Ibrox faithful and what he hopes to achieve at the club.

Also in this week’s issue we chat to two players who have played for both Rangers and Hibernian in the past – Andrew Shinnie and Dean Shiels.

Shinnie came through the youth ranks at Auchenhowie as an attacking midfielder and, after making two appearances for Walter Smith’s first team in 2007, he has gone on to play for several clubs including played for Dundee, Inverness CT, Birmingham City and the Hibees.

Now 30-years-old Andrew has recently helped Luton Town to back-to-back promotions to the English Championship and while excited at the challenges ahead this season he still looks back very fondly at his years with Rangers.

Shiels started his senior playing career at Easter Road and after spells at Doncaster Rovers and Kilmarnock he got the opportunity to live his dream and join Rangers in the summer of 2012.

The former Northern Ireland internationalist – who is now at Coleraine – is proud to have been a Rangers player for four years, helping the club come through the lower divisions, and he made 124 competitive appearances in total, scoring 31 goals. In the programme he speaks about his journey at the club and, at the age of 34, what his plans are for the future.
