RANGERS are thrilled to announce the signing of Scotland international Zoe Ness on a six-month-deal, with an option to extend, subject to international clearance.

The forward joins from Lewes Football Club Women and arrives with an exciting pedigree and proven track record across European football.

Ness was born in Durham, England to Scottish parents and started her career with her hometown club before making a move to Sweden after one season. The 23-year-old spent a year with Mallbackens IF, spanning two seasons, making 42 appearances and scoring eight goals.

In 2017 she returned to FA Women’s Championship side Durham and made a further 35 appearances, netting 14 times.

In August the attacker joined fellow Championship side Lewes but after six months with the south of England side she has chosen to move to Rangers, ahead of their highly anticipated 2020 SWPL season.

Ness has been capped nine times by Scotland, with her most recent coming in August in a 8-0 win over Cyprus. She has one goal for the senior side, in a 3-0 win against Poland in August 2018.

Women’s and Girls’ Academy manager Amy McDonald said:

“She is currently recovering from an injury which she suffered last October but with the staff and facilities here we will aid her recovery in the best possible way.
