RANGERS have players out on loan in Scotland, England and beyond. Here’s a look at how they got on over the weekend.
HARRY FORRESTER – AFC WIMBLEDON
Wimbledon climbed further away from the drop zone in League One with two wins in a week. Harry had good chances in the Dons midweek 1-0 win over Charlton as he played 81 minutes. But the forward didn’t have such good luck as he was forced off with an injury after 33 minutes this weekend against Walsall. His side recovered after being 2-0 down to grab a 3-2 win in his absence.
CARLOS PENA – CRUZ AZUL
Carlos Pena was an unused sub in Cruz Azul’s 2-2 draw with Tigres UNAL in the Primera Division. With two games of the season left it leaves the Mexican side 14th in the league.
RYAN HARDIE – LIVINGSTON
Ryan didn’t find the net in Livi’s 0-0 draw with St Mirren as the Saints secured promotion to the Premiership. He had good chances with a header in the second-half and a couple of shots.
JORDAN THOMPSON – LIVINGSTON
The Northern Irish midfielder was a 51st minute sub in the same game. Livi have all but secured second in the Championship.
LIAM BURT – DUMBARTON
Liam got half an hour for his loan side but in unfortunate circumstances as Inverness completed a 5-1 rout over Dumbarton. He did have one chance though, sending a right footed shot from outside the box just too high.
AIDAN WILSON – DUMBARTON
Aidan missed the weekend’s fixtures due to suspension.
ROSS LYON – STRANRAER
Ross got 66 minutes of Stranraer’s 2-1 win over League One table toppers Ayr United.
ROBBY MCCRORIE – BERWICK RANGERS
Robby conceded one goal as Berwick were beaten 1-0 by Montrose. His side had to recover after a horror injury to teammate Ousman See delayed the game by an hour. The player broke his leg and dislocated his ankle but play continued after the break. The result leaves Berwick in the relegation play-off spot in League Two.
