WITH the football season beginning to wind down, only a handful of players remain out on-loan, but those who have featured recently have been involved in some massive games…
Harry Forrester – AFC Wimbledon
Harry wasn’t involved for Wimbledon on Saturday as they ended their season with a 2-2 home draw against already relegated Bury. The result was irrelevant however, with a 0-0 draw away to Doncaster last Tuesday, in which Harry came on as a 73rd minute substitute, securing their League One status for another season. Harry’s loan spell is now at an end.
Liam Burt – Dumbarton
Liam was a 75th-minute substitute for Dumbarton on Saturday as a 1-1 draw with Arbroath sent them through to the Championship play-off final. Having defeated the Red Lichties in Angus on Wednesday 2-1, with Burt a late sub in that game too, they now face Alloa on Wednesday and Sunday to retain their Championship status.
Andy Dallas – Stenhousemuir
Andy was twice a late sub for Stenhousemuir as they took a step closer to promotion to League One by defeating Queens’ Park. After a 1-1 draw at Ochilview in midweek, Mark McGuigan’s goal nine minutes from time at Hampden sent Stenny into the final. They now face Peterhead at Ochilview on Wednesday and at Balmoor on Sunday.
Ryan Hardie and Jordan Thompson – Livingston
Ryan and Jordan are in action this evening and on Friday for Livingston against Dundee United in the play-off semi-finals. Tonight’s game takes place at Tannadice before the return leg at Almondvale.
