BORNA Barisic thinks Rangers produced their best away performance in the Premiership this season despite dropping points against Hibernian.

The Gers had a hatful of chances at Easter Road as they peppered Hibs’ goal during the second half but couldn’t convert.

The result meant Barisic and his teammates saw themselves drop to second in the table, a point behind Celtic with the run in to the winter break looming.

Speaking to RangersTV Barisic said: “Again we didn’t win and we wanted to win this game because we want to be top of the league.

“I think we played well, we did everything that was in our game plan, we had a lot of chances and didn’t score and they maybe had one chance.

“We were the better team but in the end they have one point and we have one point and that is it.

“This is the way we need to play when we play away because I think this has been our best away game this season.

“It is important we learn from this game and we need to score when we are playing away, even if it’s when we just have one or two chances.”

Barisic has started the Gers last three games after returning from a two months lay off through injury.

The Croatian international now wants to kick on after missing so much football in his maiden season with the Light Blues.

He continued:

“I think I am good, I had been very frustrated to be at home and not playing for two months but physically I am ready now and everything is fine.”
