RANGERS’ loan players were in action over the past week as they settled in at their new clubs. Here’s a round-up of how they got on.

TOM WALSH – ST MIRREN

Tom was a 54th minute substitute against Hamilton as the Buddies lost 3-0 in the League Cup. The 20-year-old made an immediate impact by nearly creating a goal within seconds of his arrival through a whipped cross. The midfielder also went close in front of goal, picking up a saved effort and seeing his shot deflected over the bar but couldn’t help his side claw back the gap.

LIAM KELLY – LIVINGSTON

Liam was on the end of a 2-0 defeat in the Cup as Livi lost 2-0 to Ayr United. The 20-year-old played the entire 90 minutes in goal and it looks more than likely that the Lions will miss out on reaching round two of the competition.

SCOTT ROBERTS – RAITH ROVERS

Roberts made a brief appearance as Raith defeated Ross County on penalties after a 1-1 draw. The 20-year-old didn’t take a spot kick after coming on in the 87th minute.

FRASER AIRD – VANCOUVER WHITECAPS

Fraser was an unused substitute as the Whitecaps drew 0-0 with the Houston Dynamos. The Canadian’s side still sit top of the Western Conference on the same points as LA Galaxy.
