RANGERS have a number of players out on loan across Scotland’s three lower divisions. Here’s a look at how they got on at the weekend…
Jordan Thompson – Raith Rovers
No less than four loan Rangers players featured in Raith Rovers’ 1-0 defeat to St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday. Jordan Thompson played the full 90 minutes for Raith, but he could do nothing as Lewis Morgan hit the winning goal after 47 minutes to make it two wins on the bounce for the rejuvinated Saints.
Scott Roberts – Raith Rovers
Scott Roberts was also a starter in the game at the Paisley 2021 Stadium before being replaced by Bobby Barr on 58 minutes. Raith host Dundee United at Starks’ Park on Saturday.
Tom Walsh – St Mirren
Tom was an unused substitute in the game in Paisley on Saturday. St Mirren look forward now to hosting Ayr United this coming Saturday.
Ryan Hardie – St Mirren
Ryan came on as a 79th-minute substitute in place of John Sutton as St Mirren saw the game out to defeat Raith. He, of course, featured for Rangers under-20s last Sunday and bagged a hat-trick in the Youth Cup win over Hearts.
Liam Kelly – Livingston
Livingston are now four points clear at the top of League One after a 2-1 win away to Stranraer. After losing an early goal to Willie Gibson, Dale Carrick equalised on 77 minutes for the Lions and then Raffaele de Vita won it for them with six minutes to go.
Ryan Sinnamon – Annan Athletic
Ryan played the full 90 minutes in Annan’s 2-0 win over Cowdenbeath on Saturday. They now sit five points off the play-off places in League Two.
