RYAN KENT reckons he produced his best performance in a Rangers jersey so far in yesterday’s 4-0 win over Dundee at Ibrox.
The flying wing man was excellent in the defeat of the Dark Blues, and grabbed his first goal to make it 2-0 to the home side on just 14 minutes.
He knows there is still more to come from the team, but he was left delighted with his own personal efforts yesterday afternoon.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “I’d say so. I think my performances have been getting gradually better, and it helped today getting my first goal for Rangers, so that was a bonus as well topped-off with a good result.
“The goal meant a lot to me as it is the first goal I have scored in a while. I have been knocking on the door and finally I have broken through. Hopefully I can kick-on and get a few more.
“There are plenty of areas where we can improve and we all agreed that as a team. But, the main thing today was to get three points and bounce back after the disappointment of the last game.”
Kent and his Rangers teammates will now prepare to get their UEFA Europa League campaign off and running away to Villarreal on Thursday night.
On that, he added: “After putting four past Dundee today, we are going to Thursday’s game with a lot of confidence. We have warranted and deserved to get to where we are in the Group Stages, so we go there with a lot of confidence and we will enjoy the game.
“It is the perfect stage for a young player to really put himself up against top quality players across Europe. It is a big stage and one I am really relishing and looking forward to.”
