THE main team news from this afternoon’s friendly match with RB Leipzig is new midfield man Jon Toral being handed a place in the starting line-up.

Joining this week from Arsenal, the Spaniard will be given a chance to show what he can do in the middle of the park, with fellow new arrival Emerson Hyndman also likely to appear at some time in the 90-minutes.

Manager Mark Warburton is keen to make the match as close to a competitive one as possible, therefore substitutions will be limited until the latter stages.Joining Toral in the starting line-up will be Wes Foderingham in goals, Rob Kiernan, Clint Hill, Danny Wilson, Andy Halliday, Jason Holt, Barrie McKay, James Tavernier, Josh Windass an Kenny Miller.

Alongside Hyndman on the substitutes bench are goalkeeper Matt Gilks, Martyn Waghorn, Harry Forrester, Michael O’Halloran, David Bates – who this week committed to a permanent deal with the club after impressing on loan from Raith Rovers – Lee Hodson and Martyn Waghorn.

Today’s game kicks off at 2.30pm UK time and is, as ever, being shown on outside the UK and Ireland.
