RYAN JACK is sure Rangers will be fired up and raring to go come 1.30pm on Sunday as they look to get back to winning ways against Dundee.
After falling to a 1-0 reverse against Aberdeen in midweek, Gers know a win in the City of Discovery could take them back top of the league depending on how results elsewhere go over the weekend.
And Jack believes Gers have the correct characters in the squad to respond positively at the weekend.
He explained at this afternoon’s press conference: “Every time you have a blip and a bad result, you always say the same things, and that being that you need to show a reaction.
“I am sure as a squad and with the mentality we have in the changing room and the leaders we have in the changing room, there is no doubt in my mind that come Sunday, we are going to be up for the game.
“Of course Wednesday still hurts at the minute, but as soon as the whistle goes on Sunday, all the focus is on getting a good result against Dundee.
“As a squad, straight after the game we discuss the match. We have said we weren’t good enough and we weren’t at the races, but it is about Sunday now.
“We have to come out and show a reaction and it is a massive three points which will keep us right in the mix for the rest of the games in December.
“So as a squad, I’m sure we have the players in there to show the right mentality and a reaction.”
Jack feels, even in spite of the midweek reverse, Gers are in a much better place this season than more recent times, adding: “Of course we have progressed, and no disrespect to previous squads, but the quality of this squad is very high and for myself to be playing in that too, it’s been great so far.
“The league is tight but there is a lot of football still to be played and a lot of big games still to be played this month.
“I think after the January break is when we can assess it and see where we are.”
