With the International break upon us there are a number of Rangers players at a variety of different levels away representing their country.

Here’s our preview of the games being played over the coming week.

Full International

Canada: Scott Arfield

Saturday, November 16: USA v Canada – CONCACAF Nations League – 00:00

Scott is back in the Canada squad for their match away to the United States in the early hours of Saturday. After beating the US in the last international break, avoiding defeat in Orlando this weekend will guarantee them a place in the inaugural Nations League semi-finals, which will take place in June.


Nigeria: Joe Aribo

Wednesday, November 13: Nigeria v Benin – AFCON Qualifier – 16:00

Sunday, November 17: Lesotho v Nigeria – AFCON Qualifier – 16:00

Joe is in the Nigeria squad for their two African Cup of Nations qualifying matches at home to Benin this afternoon before a mammoth trip to face Lesotho on Sunday. This is the first round of matches in a qualifying group which also features Sierra Leone, with the top two advancing to the final tournament in 2021.


Croatia: Borna Barisic

Saturday, November 16: Croatia v Slovakia – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 19:45

Tuesday November 19: Croatia v Georgia – International Friendly – 17:45

Borna has once again been named in the Croatia squad for their final, crucial UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifier. They can guarantee qualify for next summer’s tournament with victory over Slovakia at home on Saturday, though results elsewhere in the group mean they may not need to win to be sure of making it. They also host Georgia in a friendly next Tuesday.


Northern Ireland: Steven Davis

Saturday, November 16: Northern Ireland v Netherlands – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 19:45

Tuesday, November 19: Germany v Northern Ireland – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 19:45

Northern Ireland know they’ll probably need two victories at home to the Netherlands and away to Germany to give themselves any chance of reaching next summer’s tournament. Trailing both nations by three points, Germany will play Belarus on Saturday and the Netherlands face Estonia on Tuesday. Davis, if he is involved in both matches, will move onto 117 international caps – two off Pat Jennings’ all-time record for Northern Ireland, and eight behind British caps record-holder Peter Shilton.


Sweden: Filip Helander

Friday, November 15: Romania v Sweden – Euro 2020 Qualifier -19:45

Monday, November 18: Sweden v Faroe Islands – Euro 2020 Qualifier -19:45

Filip will join up with Sweden for their two upcoming Euro 2020 Qualifiers. They travel to Romania on Friday knowing victory will guarantee their place at the tournament, with Sweden sitting a point ahead of the Romanians. Failing that, they host the Faroe Islands on Monday night with Romania traveling to already-qualified Spain.


Finland: Glen Kamara

Friday, November 15 : Finland v Liechtenstein – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 17:00

Monday, November 18: Finland v Armenia – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 17:00

Glen could help Finland to make history on Friday as victory over Liechtenstein will see them through to their first-ever major tournament. Failing that, they also have a match with Greece on Monday which could see them through.


Colombia: Alfredo Morelos

Saturday, November 16: Colombia v Peru – International Friendly – 01:00

Wednesday, November 20: Ecuador v Colombia – 01:00

Alfredo has been called-up to the Colombian squad for two upcoming friendlies this international break. They face Peru in Miami on Saturday morning before traveling north to New Jersey for a match with Ecuador on Wednesday morning.


Scotland: Ryan Jack

Saturday, November 16: Cyprus v Scotland – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 14:00

Tuesday, November 19: Scotland v Kazakhstan – Euro 2020 Qualifier – 19:45

Ryan is in the Scotland squad for their final two qualifying matches away to Cyprus and at home to Kazakhstan. Scotland’s chances of reaching the final tournament through this route are over, so they’ll look to build some momentum going into the play-offs in March.



Scotland: Robby McCrorie, Kieran Wright, Stephen Kelly, Glenn Middleton.

Friday, November 15: Scotland v Greece – UEFA Euro Under-21 Qualifier – 19:00

First-placed Scotland play second place Greece in this Euro 2021 qualifier at Tynecastle which could go a long way to deciding who goes through to the final tournament in Slovenia and Hungary.

Gers have four players in the squad – Ross McCrorie will miss out through injury.


Northern Ireland: Cammy Palmer

Thursday, November 14: Northern Ireland v Hungary – Friendly – 19:00

Tuesday, November 19: Northern Ireland v Romania – Euro Under-21 Qualifier – 17:30

Northern Ireland Under-21’s will look to bring their qualification hopes to life with victory over Romania on Tuesday as they are yet to win a group match. They warm up for that with a friendly with Hungary tomorrow.


Northern Ireland: Danny Finlayson, Chris McKee, Kyle McClelland

Tuesday, November 12: Northern Ireland v Norway

Friday, November 15: Northern Ireland v Portugal

Monday, November 18: Northern Ireland v Germany

Northern Ireland’s under-19s face three friendly matches as they prepare for next year’s under-19 European qualifiers. After losing 3-0 to Norway last night, they face Portugal and Germany both in Lurgan.
