LEE HODSON is happy to keep learning from the experienced players at the club to keep improving as a player.

The Northern Irish defender caught up with the Official Rangers Podcast this week to discuss a number of different things including how he feels the whole squad can benefit from shared experiences within football.

He said: “I can learn a lot. Bruno has played at the highest level in international football, won trophies, won the Euros.

“I always look up to older pros, people that have played more games than me and defenders because I can always add things from my game that I need to improve on.

“I can get guidance from the older pros, Bruno’s experience, Fabio’s experience, Lee Wallace, James Tavernier, Danny Wilson, whoever is playing. Everyone can learn from each other.

“But Bruno is a fantastic addition to the squad and his experience and his presence has definitely made a difference.”

Hodson has been enjoying life under Pedro Caixinha and he has already played in the three competitive domestic matches this season against Motherwell, Dunfermline and Hibernian.

He continued: “I think you have to be positive to push forward. The manager is very positive, very passionate and we thrive off that.

“His passion to win rubs off on the players and he wants us to be right behind him and I think that has shown.

“Bruno coming in has been a boost to the squad with the experience that he has had. He has played at the highest level and he is a great addition to the squad.

“Everyone is getting to know each other. There are new signings coming in and it just doesn’t happen overnight.

“You need time to gel as a squad, for everyone to get to know each other and how each individual plays.

“It has taken a little bit of time but I think we are getting to where we want to be and we can still carry on improving and keep getting better.”
