RANGERS can confirm that striker Ryan Hardie has today joined St Mirren on loan until January.

Hardie enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Raith Rovers in the second half of last season where he scored six times in ten appearances as Raith unsuccessfully challenged for a Premiership spot via the playoffs.

The young striker made his Gers debut in the League Cup on September 23 2014 as a substitute for Dean Shiels. Hardie made his first start for the club in a Championship match away to Dumbarton where he scored two goals, one an excellent overhead kick.

The youngster is the latest Academy player to go out on loan, with fellow Gers player Tom Walsh already at St Mirren, Scott Roberts at Raith Rovers and Liam Kelly at Livingston.
