STEVEN Gerrard has named three changes as Rangers return to domestic action at Ibrox this afternoon.
Daniel Candeias, Kyle Lafferty and Eros Grezda enter the Gers starting XI. Candeias missed out on the final group game of the Europa League due to suspension but is immediately returned for the Premiership visit of Hamilton.
Alfredo Morelos is completing the second of a two game suspension after being shown red against Aberdeen last week. Lafferty therefore starts as Gerrard’s man through the middle. On the left Grezda gets the nods ahead of Glenn Middleton, who started against Rapid Vienna.
Notably there is room on the bench for academy star Andy Dallas, who has been on fire for the Light Blues’ Development side. He has hit five in his last two games for the Under 20 team, including two in Vienna as the clubs’ academy sides took on each other.
Ryan Kent misses out again due to a new hamstring issue while Ovie Ejaria has returned to his parent club, Liverpool, after his summer loan move.
Ever-present in the league Allan McGregor is in goal for the Gers with an untouched backline in front of him. James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Gareth McAuley and Borna Barisic start, the Croatian left-back is starting his first league game since Livingston away in September. Rangers midfield is made up of Ross McCrorie, Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack.
RANGERS: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, McAuley, Barisic, McCrorie, Arfield, Jack, Candeias, Lafferty, Grezda
Substitutes: Foderingham, Worrall, Flanagan, Halliday, Middleton, Coulibaly, Dallas
