EROS GREZDA can’t wait for Sunday afternoon to come in the hope that he can take any opportunities that come his way.
The Albanian winger had his first start for the club in the last Ladbrokes Premiership match away to St Mirren and he is likely to start the match this weekend with Daniel Candeias and Ryan Kent missing.
Grezda was signed from Croatian side NK Osijek in the summer and due to him missing pre-season with an injury, he has needed to be patient to get back to fitness.
After playing against the Buddies and coming on against Spartak Moscow last night, he is ready for action should he be selected tomorrow.
Speaking at today’s press conference, he said: “I really can’t wait for this game because now I have to be in the places that Ryan Kent and Daniel Candeias are missing. So it is a big game for us and for me and I hope for the win.
“Yes it is a really good opportunity for me because the other players that play this game they did really well last month so I had to wait for my chance and I think this is one of them.”
Grezda has nine caps for Albania and he is likely to be involved in the upcoming match against Scotland, with Allan McGregor in the squad for the Scots.
Despite not knowing a lot about Scotland or Scottish football before signing for the club, he is now relishing the opportunity to go up against his teammate.
“To be honest before I came here I didn’t know too much for Scotland but now I have a vision for this league and we are now going to play now on November 17 with Albania.
“It is a very important game for us because we need to win to stay at the Nations League, but first we have got a big game on Sunday so let’s get ready for that and after it is the international break.”
When asked whether he would like to score against the Gers keeper, he said with a grin, “I told him a couple of times already that it is a very important game for us and I will try to give my best or try to score past him.”
