RANGERS will welcome Frank Lampard’s Derby County to Ibrox on Sunday, July 28 in what will be the club’s final friendly match of the summer period.
Coming just a week before the Scottish Premiership gets underway, Gers will welcome the side who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League in the Championship final a fortnight ago.
The Rams’ squad features former Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn, who played a key role at Gers between 2015 and 2017.
Lampard is sure to add further names to his team ahead of the new campaign as they look to go one-better and reach the top flight of English football.
Of course, the match will pit Lampard up against Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard, the two having been midfield rivals at Chelsea and Liverpool, and also international teammates with England.
The match will kick-off at 3pm and ticket information will be confirmed in due course.
