RANGERS have been drawn to face Shkupi of Macedonia in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

Based in the capital of Macedonia, Skopje, FK Shkupi are competing in European competition for the first time having finished fourth in the Macedonian First League last season.

They play at the Cair Stadium, which has a capacity of 6000, although only around 2000 of that is seated.

Skopje itself has a population of over half a million people, and has history dating back to Roman times.

The first leg is scheduled for Ibrox for Thursday July 12, while the away leg is scheduled for Skopje for Thursday July 19. Supporters should however wait until the venues and dates for the ties are confirmed prior to making any travel plans.

Ticket information for the Ibrox leg will be confirmed in due course.

Should the Light Blues be fortunate enough to progress from the Shkupi tie, they will face one of CS Petroclub of Moldova, or NK Osijek of Croatia. The dates for that currently stand as July 26 and August 2.
