RANGERS will kick-off the SPFL Premiership campaign away to Aberdeen at lunchtime on August 5th after the fixtures for the 2018/19 season were announced today.

The Dons finished last season in second position and Gers were unbeaten in the four matches the sides played in the league last season, with the Light Blues winning four and drawing once.

Following that opener, the Light Blues will host newly promoted St Mirren at home on the weekend of August 11th before travelling to face the Steelmen in Motherwell on August 25th.

Steven Gerrard’s men will then face the other half of the Old Firm at Celtic Park on September 1st before facing Dundee and then St Johnstone in back to back home matches.

The first Old Firm clash at Ibrox will be on the 29th of December, before competitive league action stops across the winter break.

Over the festive period the Light Blues are away to St Johnstone on December 22nd before welcoming Hibernian to Ibrox on Boxing Day.

Rangers’ final match before the league split will be away to Motherwell on April 6th. All fixture dates remain subject to change for broadcast.
