STEVEN GERRARD has made four changes to his team for tonight’s Europa League play-off round, first leg against Ufa of Russia.

The club’s number one Allan McGregor returns between the posts after Wes Foderingham made his first appearance of the season against Kilmarnock in the Betfred Cup on Sunday.

In defence Jon Flanagan replaces ineligible Croatian Borna Barisic at left-back with James Tavernier on the right and Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic in the middle of the backline.

Jamie Murphy is missing long-term after suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage on Rugby Park’s plastic pitch at the weekend and with Andy Halliday dropping to the bench tonight that means Daniel Candeias, Scott Arfield, Ryan Jack, Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent will be given the task of dominating the midfield area and providing support and quality service to lone striker Alfredo Morelos.

Fans will be excited to know that new signing Kyle Lafferty also makes the bench this evening, as does Lee Wallace, and they are joined on the subs list by Foderingham, Halliday, Ross McCrorie and Glenn Middleton.
