STEVEN GERRARD has named five changes to his side for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership encounter at St Mirren.

From the side which faced Legia Warsaw on Thursday night, out go Nikola Katic, Jon Flanagan, Steven Davis, Sheyi Ojo and Alfredo Morelos, with their places in the XI taken by Filip Helander – who makes his league debut – Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, Jordan Jones and Jermain Defoe.

That means it’s a back five of Allan McGregor in goals, captain James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Helander and Barisic.

Kamara is in midfield next to Ryan Jack and Joe Aribo, while up front, Jones and Scott Arfield will support Defoe.

Davis and Morelos find places on the bench this afternoon next to Wes Foderingham, George Edmundson, Andy Halliday, Andy King and Jake Hastie.

It’s a 12.15pm kick-off here in Paisley, with full coverage available on RangersTV outside the UK. Join Tom Miller and Steven Smith.
