STEVEN GERRARD has made eight changes to his starting eleven for today’s Ladbrokes Premiership fixture against St Mirren at Ibrox Stadium.
Following Wednesday night’s 3-1 Scottish Cup fourth round victory over Cowdenbeath, Allan McGregor, captain James Tavernier, Joe Worrall, Borna Barisic, Ross McCrorie, Ryan Kent, Scott Arfield and Alfredo Morelos all return to the team to face the Buddies, joining Nikola Katic, Steven Davis and Jermaine Defoe who started at Central Park.
With McGregor back between the posts this afternoon, a back four of right-back Tavernier, Katic, Worrall, and Barisic on the left will play in front of the club’s number one, who has made 37 appearances so far this term.
The midfield four will consist of McCrorie, Davis, Kent and Scott Arfield with Defoe partnering top scorer Morelos, who is currently on 21 goals for the season, in the Gers attack.
Joining goalkeeper Wes Foderingham on the bench are Ryan Jack, Lassana Coulibaly, Andy Halliday, Glenn Middleton, Daniel Candeias and Kyle Lafferty.
