RANGERS have been beaten in the final Old Firm derby of the season, losing 3-0 to Celtic in Glasgow’s east end.

The Light Blues actually created more chances in the first half and played relatively well but weren’t ruthless enough in front of goal as they failed to find their range.

And that proved costly as Charlie Mulgrew headed the hosts in front after 16 minutes from a corner.

Kris Commons then added a second on the half hour when he lifted the ball over Allan McGregor having been played in by Gary Hooper.

English forward Hooper made it three with an excellent finish nine minutes after the restart and that finished the game as a contest.

Gers will now look ahead to two home games in the next six days against Dundee United and Motherwell before their season ender at St Johnstone on May 13.
