AT today’s friendly against Derby County there will be a souvenir official matchday programme on sale, price just £3.50.

For issue six for 2019/20 there is an exclusive interview with former Gers and current Derby striker Martyn Waghorn who discusses his return to Ibrox Stadium to face several of his former teammates.

One of them, of course, is James Tavernier – who signed on the same day for Rangers as Waghorn in the summer of 2015 – and we get the captain’s thoughts on the big game coming up this afternoon and his four years in Glasgow.

Also in the programme we chat to two more former Gers stars with links to the Rams.

Ted ‘The Tin Man’ McMinn was a popular player for both clubs in the mid-Eighties and early Nineties and in today’s issue he remembers his benefit game 13 years ago at Pride Park and the incredible support he received from both sets of fans which which meant so much to him.

Roy Carroll lived the dream when he joined Rangers for the 2007/08 campaign but the Northern Ireland goalkeeper couldn’t get game time in Walter Smith’s team, mainly down to the form of Allan McGregor.

In the programme Carroll discusses how important ‘Greegsy’ will be in Steven Gerrard’s squad this season and he remembers how impressed he was when he started working with the club’s number one at the Rangers Training Centre back in ’07.
