STEVEN GERRARD has named his starting XI for this evening’s Scottish Premiership match with Kilmarnock, and he has handed a debut to Jermaine Defoe and a second debut to returning Steven Davis.

It’s a massive match for the Light Blues at Rugby Park, with Steve Clarke’s Ayrshiremen currently sitting in third place in the table, just a point behind Gerrard’s Gers.

For the game, the manager has selected Allan McGregor in goals, with captain James Tavernier, Gareth McAuley, Joe Worrall and Andy Halliday in front of him.

There are then places for Ryan Jack, who of course scored the winning goal in Gers’ last competitive match at home to Celtic, Davis, Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent, Defoe and Alfredo Morelos.

It’s a strong looking bench for the Ibrox men too, with places there for Wes Foderingham, Kyle Lafferty, Jon Flanagan, Ross McCrorie, Nikola Katic, Daniel Candeias and Lassana Coulibaly.

It’s a 7.45pm kick-off here in Burns’ Country, with the whole game live on RanersTV outside the UK. Join Tom Miller and Stevie Smith for full coverage.
