WE look at some of the memorable moments that have happened on this day in the remarkable history of Rangers Football Club.
In 2009 Rangers defeated Inverness Caley Thistle 3-0 thanks to a goal from Pedro Mendes and a brace from Kris Boyd.
And after an indifferent first-half display at Caledonian Stadium, they did just that with three good goals after the break to see off their Highland opponents.
Mendes set the ball rolling with a brilliant finish just 24 seconds into the second period before Kris Boyd sealed a good victory with a late brace.
On this day in 1975. Rangers defeated Celtic 3-0 thanks to goals from Derek Johnstone, Tommy McLean and Derek Parlane in front of 71,000 fans at Ibrox. McLean was the star of the show on the day, scoring his goal but also setting up for Johnstone and Parlane with inch perfect left and right foot balls.
In 1969, Rangers took on Kilmarnock in a remarkable match that ended 3-3, with Andy Penman, Willie Johnston and Orjan Persson on the scoresheet for the Gers. Colin Stein was sent off during the game, along with Killie player Billy Dickson. The Ayrshiremen were down three times in the match and pegged the Gers back on three occasions.
