JAMES Tavernier spoke to RangersTV after Rangers defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

The skipper said: “We are mostly disappointed, we can’t perform like that tonight when we put in the performance we did three weeks ago against Celtic the way we did.

“We can’t arrive on a night like this and not deliver the same performance. It is an embarrassing performance from us.

“They had two chances that we gifted them and they have capitalised on them. In this league if you are going to give teams chances then they are going to punish you.

“When you go one up teams will spread open more but for a long time the only team that is going to beat us is ourselves.

“If we are going to give teams chances then we are going to shoot ourselves in the foot. We did that tonight and that can’t happen from now forwards. The start was positive but we weren’t good enough after that.

“We have to get a good feeling back before Sunday – we have to put in a performance against Livingston. We cannot drop anywhere near that standard tonight against Livingston.

“We need to have a look at ourselves and give, especially the fans, a performance that they deserve.”
