DANIEL CANDEIAS has pledged to continue to give his all for Rangers having signed an extension to his current contract earlier today.
The Portuguese winger has been a revelation for the Light Blues this season on the right of midfield, leading the assists chart in the SPFL Premiership as well as grabbing six goals to date.
Having been at seven clubs prior to arriving in Glasgow, he now feels settled here in the city and praised the atmosphere around the club as being a major factor in that.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “It is so good for me and I am very happy to sign this new contract with this club. It is a great club and I like the responsibilities that come with that.
“I love wearing the shirt and I will give 200 per-cent for this club.
“I am very happy here as it is like a family. Everyone has welcomed me so well and I my family are so happy with the city and the people.
“When everything is like this, it makes it so much easier.”
Candeias has been pleased with how he has performed to date – but he has vowed to not rest on his laurels and keep his levels high for the team.
He continued: “I am very happy with my performances, but that is down to the team playing well. I work hard every day to prepare for the games.
“In these seven or eight months I have worked hard for the team, and now I want more of the same. I have more responsibility now and want to continue the way I have.”
Between now and the end of his new deal, Candeias is eyeing up adding to his own personal medal collection as well as rewarding the support of the Rangers fans.
He added: “Of course! The people want us to win trophies, and so do the players. This is the greatest club in the World when it comes to trophies, and now I want to win trophies with Rangers too.”
