RANGERS can today confirm that Jamie Barjonas has joined English League Two side Bury on loan until January.

The 19-year-old midfielder has made nine competitive first-team appearances for the Light Blues, all in the league, since making his debut against Partick Thistle at Firhill in May 2017.

A graduate from the club’s Academy in Auchenhowie, Barjonas’ last top-team appearance was at Ibrox Stadium in the same year – on December 27 – when Rangers defeated Motherwell 2-0 in the Premiership with goals from Danny Wilson and Alfredo Morelos.

Having now joined Bury on loan Jamie will work under their Liverpool-born manager Ryan Lowe, someone Steven Gerrard has known for many years, and the Rangers boss will be keeping a close eye on the player’s performances in English football’s fourth tier.

The Shakers, of course, visited Ibrox for a pre-season friendly on July 6.
