MARK WARBURTON wants his squad to keep building their winning mentality starting with tonight’s Scottish Cup tie against Killie at Rugby Park.
The Gers will make the trip to Kilmarnock tonight in the Scottish Cup replay and Light Blues boss Warburton wants to keep winning with the fans who continue to travel to back the side.
Speaking at yesterdays press conference, Warburton said: “It’s important for us to keep on developing that winning mentality and we are going tomorrow night to a Premiership club and we are looking forward to it.
“We’re taking a good support with us and we have a responsibility to the supporters and the club itself to move forward in all the competitions. So hopefully with a good performance we can get the right result.”
The Gers will be without Saturday’s goalscorer Michael O’Halloran and winger Billy King as both players are cup-tied due to featuring in the competition with their former sides.
However, those two players aside, according to Warburton, the Light Blues are in good shape. He said: “Everyone is fine, we have a few cuts and bruises but apart from that all is good and we look forward to tonight.
“This time of year is about getting your loading right for players and everyone is different. There are certain generic factors, but not everyone is different and we look after players appropriately and reduce the loading appropriately.”
