CROATIAN defender Borna Barisic has been named in the Light Blues’ starting eleven for today’s SPFL Premiership fixture against St Mirren.

The 25-year-old was not available for Thursday night’s Europa League clash against Maribor but makes his Ibrox bow against the Buddies in place of James Tavernier – with Jon Flanagan moving to right back – as Steven Gerrard makes three changes to the side which started against the Slovenians.

Ross McCrorie also starts as does Jamie Murphy with Daniel Candeias dropping to the bench along with Tavernier and Scott Arfield is not named in the Rangers squad today.

Connor Goldson will wear the captain’s armband this afternoon.

RANGERS: McGregor, Flanagan, Goldson (c), Katic, Barisic, Ejaria, McCrorie, Coulibaly, Kent, Murphy, Morelos

Subs: Foderingham, Tavernier, Sadiq, Halliday, Candeias, Hodson, Middleton.
