ANDY GORAM thought he had been through it all with Ally McCoist grabbing the limelight on big occasions but he witnessed it again today in a fantastic Legends game at Ibrox.

McCoist scored twice in a 4-1 win over Manchester United with another stunning cameo performance with Jorg Albertz blasting a typical Howitzer and Alex Rae netting a great fourth goal.

The Rangers manager did it so many times in his fantastic playing career and Goram ceases to be surprised any more.

Goram said: “You just can’t write the scripts for Ally. I remember at the Milan game last year he said he would come on and score and he did and he did it again today.

“You can’t beat days like these. We had the Old Firm game a couple of years ago and then we had the Milan game last year and we’re unbeaten.

“You can’t change your attitude. You always want to win these matches. It’s in your blood and it’s just great to come back out and play at Ibrox.

“It’s been a great weekend with the youngsters lifting their first trophy on Saturday and I think this just topped it off.

“It was great to play against United. I stood on the Stretford End when I was a kid and my Dad was a Rangers man so to play for both teams was fantastic.

“It was great out there because I got to play on the same pitch as Bryan Robson and I was his apprentice at West Brom.”
