RANGERS are today delighted to announce goalkeeper Andy Firth has agreed a one-year extension to his current contract, keeping him at Ibrox until the summer of 2021.

Firth, 23, joined Gers from Barrow last January on an initial 18 month deal for an undisclosed fee.

He came through the ranks at Liverpool and worked under boss Steven Gerrard when he was a youth coach on Merseyside.

Firth has made one appearance for Gers’ coming on as a late substitute for the injured Wes Foderingham on the final day of last season away to Kilmarnock.

He continues to provide backup and competition to Foderingham and Allan McGregor under the watchful eye of goalkeeping coach Colin Stewart.
